Chelsea football fans banned over racism in Paris

Four Chelsea fans have been banned from attending football matches for five years for racial behaviour on a Paris metro, you guys reckon this is a fair punishment or not?

Should be banned from away matches for life and home matches for 10 years and then only allowed back under agreement that any re-occurrence is a life time ban

a zero tolerance approach is the only one that works

The ban was pointless. They were drunk. Not that I expect anything different from a judicial system which has the nerve to send males to jail if they were drunk and their partners weren't for rape, though.

Should be banned from attending football matches for life. especially when in five years time Chelsea will most definitely still be playing in European competitions.
I believe in giving people a second chance, within reason. I think the punishment is apt.
Seems about right.

I said most definitely, so my point isn't pointless. Chelsea will still be in European competitions in five years time so they should be banned for life.
