Statement of Results/Certificates...?!

Hey all, I have a couple of interviews coming up and I was told to bring my original exam certificates, so I dig up my AS and A level results (I completed my A levels in June 2006) and to my surprise I can't find any certificates... all I have is statements of results. I guess I never picked up my certificates.... So I start to panic. I have a look on the OCR website and it turns out that I can apply for a "Certificated Statement of Results" but not a certificate as they do not reprint those... now are these "Certificated Statements of Results" any different from the normal statements of results you get from your college? If they are, will universities still accept normal Statement of Results instead of Certificates?

I'm also going to ask my college if they still have my AS and A2 certificates...

Why does stuff like this keep happening to me!!??

Colleges normally store the certificates for about 3 or 4 years after they've been issued, for cases just like this. Your college can also re-order certificates (i have two sets of A level certificates because i thought i'd lost them and had them resent, then found the originals).

See if your college still has your certificates first, then if not, phone/email the uni and ask if they'll accept statement of results slips instead.

The statement of results will be accepted instead of your certificate, as it is the only form of replacement available. They are a bit expensive though, at £30 for all subjects taken with each exam board, so check if your school has them first.

My college posted mine to me (recorded delivery - I was quite impressed!) and I was still in attendance so I could have easily picked them up.
However, when I was at school, I had to pick them up. They didn't tell me when they were available or anything. I rang when I realised I didn't have them, and they were there but they didn't bother to let anyone know.

I reckon there's a 99% chance your college have them and are just waiting for you to collect them.

Appreciate the responses, I feel much better now  I'm going to pay a visit to my so called college and hopefully walk out with some certificates.
