what does this mean

I told a guy that I like him. We are both doing a levels at the moment. He's a very hard worker, and I know he is not the type to go in to a relationship or anything right now. When I told him I liked him, he didn't say whether he likes me or not, he just said 'arghhh (nicer way) why did you have to tell me that for - keep it as just friends'. Well things have been silent between us. we were not and aren't good friends- but just friends. My question is, him not telling me whether he likes me or not...could this mean anything? Or should I just avoid thinking about this?

honey, as girls (i assume your a girl!) we tend to slightly over anmalise things.

As a guy what he meant is probably exactly exactly what he said: he'd rather you hadn't told him, and would like to stay friends.

We could specultae for ages about whether he didn't say anything about whether he liked you back or not because
a) he dosn't like you, and whether took this fact as obvious or didn't want to hurt your feelings or
b) he does like you but for reasons of his own (e.g. heavy workload) doesn't want to date you at the moment.

Unfortunately we simply won't be able to work it out!

If it were me I'd do as he says, and just stay friends. If you're not very close friends maybe try and get to know him a bit more, but make sure you're not the one doing all the initialising, otherwise the you're pursuing him and thats not what he wanted.

Yes I am a girl :p: .

I did and have maintained what he said. However I did come across as avoiding him for a while, not because of what happened but purely because I was more occupied with other things. After that he seemed to avoid me too, but I did say hi to him online the other day and he was being pretty nice.

I do understand what your saying though, and I have kept it as friends. But like you said we as girls can't help dwelling on tiny things (thats why I started this thread:smile: )

ah well, guess theres nothing more I can do
