i have a (non student) account with nationwide cos they don't charge for overseas withdrawals, a (non student) abbey account cos i've always been with them and they've always been quite good with e-banking etc, and have just signed up for a natwest student account because of the 5yr railcard offer plus their rates on authorised and non-authorised overdrafts seem to be the lowest.
i'd really reccommend having at least two accounts, either at the same bank or different ones because you can then transfer money from your capital (ie loan or savings) to your current account on a weekly basis to help with budgeting.

I am not at all interested in the railcard but I am interested in the credit card deals - which is best? Is royal bank of scotland any good?
