:ditto: It's a 28 day cycle, so that includes the time when you're bleeding. Though as you said, it does vary.

Why did I click on this......

On a more relevant note, so many blokes have no idea about stuff like this, I think we should be taught it in school! Although it could make for an awkward lesson... Ta for the info

Because if you write "quick question for girls" you are GUARANTEED that more guys than girls will look, just in case they're missing something! :p:

Yes, curiosity did kill the cat. However, period talk usually kills my appetite :frown:

And then we find out what it's about.....
I think periods are the one thing guys will never understand/cope with hearing about...

lol...I think it's something that guys just know exist but would prefer to not have hit in the face...

You're not taught it in school? All the guys in my class were enlightened on the subject in IGCSE Biology...and then in PSHE which apparently was more details than they ever wanted :p:

You count from the first day of your period to the first day of the next.

Btw, I find mycycle.com a nice little tool for keeping track, finding average cycle length, estimating when you're due etc

I thought it was a 'Quick quest for girls.'

As in some guy wanted a girl quick.

Nah, well I went to an all boys school, so I guess it wasn't as necessary. I think less boys have periods than girls....but like I said, we weren't taught, so I don't know! :p:

About what?!

Haha yeah I am, but I still know nothing about it! (Which is probably a good thing)

It's useful for blokes to know, though, so that when they end up at uni (or married or whatever) living with females who are going through the menstrual cycle, they know what's going on and why us girls are acting so erratically! If you have advance warning, it doesn't come as a shock...

For the majority of women, just hand over some chocolate and that will solve most problems. (Obviously it doesn't work with those who don't like chocolate.)

Lol!

Seriously, I don't know any guys who know anything about it, except for one of my best mates at school who hung around with girls all the time and got frighteningly good at predicting who would be "on".

He came out a couple of years ago, so it won't help him in relationships at all. Probably a good thing, as it was rather creepy.

Yeah...I don't think its what straight guys like to talk about!
I guess it's like (I'm going to grossly generalise) guys talking about football or hot chicks in front of a girl.

Only more disturbing :p:

Reply 17

More like guys talking about wet dreams, I reckon...

Guys talking about football would - I think - roughly equate to girls crapping on about clothes and shopping and Heat magazine and celebrities and...

Seriously, I have no idea about what goes on with wet dreams. That's the kind of thing girls just avoid talking about altogether.

That's probably for the best!
Wet dreams, or WD's as we call them are a small insight into why guys are said to have their brain in their trousers...

I'm glad there are issues of the other gender that remain a secret!
