I find it's just logic in verbal reasoning. I found it easier than the maths qs but I wasn't so certain that my answers were right as I was with the maths qs.

you can check some practice papers on the shl website

It's not too bad - it depends on what your brain's like really. My background is more language and English, so I found it relatively easy and natural. Whereas my maths studying is more recent so it always feels tougher. Enjoy!!

I think it would be possible - depends on how fast one can read and process information.

Why would you want to finish the verbal test in <30% of the time? :s-smilie:
once youve done three numerical tests and verbal tests....youll find that the questions repeat themselves (exactly) or youre given the same data/passage to read

Has anyone ever come across a test in a job application with a question with exactly the same data/passage as in an SHL practice test?

Yes, and I've also taken the same paper test twice

It's a bit of a joke really.
I must say, the PSL tests & website seem MUCH better designed than the SHL ones. For the SHL tests, you need to enter your personal details and email, answer loads of pointless questions like your occupation, age, etc, then go through TWO tests, taking at least half an hour each, then wait for an email, which gives you a link to a page where you type in your username and password, then you have to download a 1.4MB !!! file just to find out that you got X out of Y questions correct. I mean, why on Earth does it take 1.4 megabytes to give you a simple score? :s-smilie:

Whereas, with the PSL tests all you have to do is do the 3 quick tests, taking about 20 mins in total, and it quite simply tells you your result immediately after each test. Why is SHL's system so ridiculously long-winded and complicated, when PSL is able to provide essentially exactly the same service in a so much more straightforward way? :s-smilie:
Might be because it doesnt want to tell you what the correct answer is. SHL is more serious, even with the real tests, yo ucant ever go back and change an answer and they won't tell you whats right or wrong in your practise tests
Well PSL doesn't let you go back and change answers either, unless you just redo the test, and it doesn't tell you what's right or wrong in your results. Anyway you can redo the SHL test, by simply going back to the beginning and entering a different name/email lol, so it's no more 'serious' in that respect.
With the DB numeracy test, i was able to toggle between the questions.. its PSL
WIth jpmorgan (SHL), i cant move back to the previous question. once you pick ur answer and click next, thats it.
