MA in IR or Development Studies

Hi, I am an undergrad student from Pakistan and will graduate in 2016. I am studying Economics and Mathematics and I want to have a career in IR and/or Development field. I was wondering because IR is a broader field of the two, would it be better if I apply for an MA in IR with a year of work experience (I'd like to start my Masters asap after graduation) and then do Dev Studies perhaps later on or would it be okay if I apply for an MA in Dev Studies just after my undergrad. Any opinion/ guidance would be welcome. :smile:
