Can anyone shed some light on what a typical class timetable for a taught masters would be? Are the lectures likely to be spread out across five days, or is it likely to be full days a couple of times a week?

There is no such thing as a 'typical' timetable, sorry - your best bet is to contact the uni and ask what the current timetable is (although there is no guarantee that it's the same from one year to the next)

You may also have some optional modules which further add variability.

And also there may be some project works too, outside the standard timetable (lectures, discussions with tutors, etc), which varies tremendously in mumbers, volume, hours you need to put in, etc etc.

My Masters timetable was different in each of my two taught terms, as I was taking three different modules each term. Even then, they were moved around if staff were unexpectedly unavailable. Sometimes all of my weekly contact hours were in a couple of days, sometimes spread over four or five days. I didn't even have a typical timetable for my course!

However as above, hte majority of your time will be spent studying independently. How much time that takes up and how you organise yourself, probably won't become apparent until you get a couple of weeks into your course.
