Are you saying you're perfect? If you think like that, then what a load of ********, because no one is perfect, everyone has faults with them, and you just have to accept that whether you like it or not.
All she's saying is that she's happy with her lot in life - is that such a bad thing? Why try and bring her down? She's said she has stress too but that it motivates her to perform better - well good on her. I think a lot more people should have her positive attitude to life. She'll get a lot further than those who let every little thing stand in their way. And by the way, she said her life was perfect, not her personally.

It depends if you use stress as a synonym for pressure (as Ickle Katy and the majority of people do in conversation) or if you use it's strict meaning as the failure to deal with pressure.

Yes but on a mutual basis, I think that most people will agree that feeling stressed doesn't make one feel happy.

I use it as a synonym! I don't see it as a failure to cope with pressure though...

Actually yes, I think it is, if the stress motivates you to achieve things you otherwise wouldn't. But in your definition a perfect life doesn't exist, seeing as no life is ever free of stress.

She's happy with her life, therefore to her it's perfect, and more power to her for thinking so Why on earth try and bring her down?

Most people do - technically though you're only stressed if you're not coping with the pressure - they're 2 different things.

She never said she was happy, she said her life was described as perfect and where on earth did i try to bring her down?

I've never really thought about it that way before but I guess you're right, although the majority of the time it seems that pressure and stress go hand in hand. Most people get at least a little bit stressed when they's heaps of pressure on them... I think failure is too strong a word though because stress is something everyone experiences at some point in their life it's human...

She never said she was happy, she said her life was described as perfect
But she did say she was happy:

"i live in a place i love, doing a course i love, with people i love, without a care in the world!!"

"how can you be happy if you're stressed?" "because i am. i dont know what you think stressed means...but to me its the fact that ive got pressure on me....which makes me perform at my best..which makes me happy."

    (Original post by Monopolair)
where on earth did i try to bring her down?
Telling her that the way she thinks is "a load of ********" isn't exactly encouraging her to feel positive.

No ones life is perfect, and if she admits to being stressed, then her life his definately not perfect.

In my eyes, thats not bringing someone down.

I think we have different definitions of a perfect life then. To me, what matters is how the person who's living that life feels about it - not how other people view it from the outside. If she feels her life is perfect, then it doesn't matter what us lot think, because to her it is.
