Anyone else seen the news over the change in the SRA Code, meaning that there is nothing to stop firms giving out training contract offers earlier to students in their penultimate year of study?

Article from The Lawyer here: http://www.thelawyer.com/solicitor/t...037738.article

Thoughts???

Do you think it is now likely that law firms will dramatically change their recruitment process for TCs, such as to mean they open their applications in October/November for those of us in our penultimate year? Surely it is in their interest to and recruit the talent earlier than ever before!

There's no point recruiting earlier than second year, so I'd imagine not much will change.

I know many penultimate year students who were sitting on 1/2 TC offers by the end of Easter
