If you're talking about apostates in Islam specifically then no, I don't believe they should be punished at all. Not their fault if they don't believe in a religion they were born in to & good on them for acting on the issue and abandoning it.

I'm not very educated on this topic tho ;shrugs:

From what I've seen on TSR, I'm more open-minded so I thought I'd bring a new outlook to the table lol

I wouldn't say I'm any better than them btw. I just hold different views.

And yeah, I definitely would marry outside my ethnicity & religion. It's just the case of whether I'd be comfortable, things like his family & their views would be a huge part of the relationship. A lot of work & adjustment would be needed for both us, I'd assume. But I guess you could say that about normal relationships anyway lol
