Can't do mechanics :( Any tips?

I have a really improtant mechanics exam tomorrow, and I can't seem to get my head around anything:

I can't seem to understand vectors, so can someone just run down the rules for me? I also seem to be struggling with pivots etc, because I was off when we did it and it wasn't explained properly.

I'm not bad at resolving and uvast, and I can kind of do collisions...

Basically, I'm hoping we get the Jun 2006 paper because it was suited to my strengths, whereas the Jan 2006 was just awful really.
