I noticed that there didn't seem to be a forum for Sparsholt students starting this September that will be living on the University of Winchester campus.

I have applied for FdSc Animal Management. I was just wondering if there was anyone here planning to do this or another course, because it would be nice to hear from you.

This can also be used as an area to share various info.

Hey there

I have applied to study FdSc Ecology and Conservation Management at Sparsholt in September and I have also applied for the Winchester University accommodation at Burma Road.

Just the other day I was considering starting a thread like this, but you beat me to it!

Hope to hear back from you

Max

I'm from Kent, so about a 2 hour drive to Winchester. Is it far for you?

I received some information about the Winchester accommodation in the post today, have you had anything yet? Its only about a month away so I imagine we will get a lot of information from Sparsholt from now on.

Did you take A Levels or some other course? I studied Level 3 Fisheries Management for the past two years and got my results back last week. I got the grades I needed so that was a relief!

Yeah, I've had a bit of a read through it.

It's coming up so fast! I took A levels so I don't get my results until August 13th, but fingers crossed for then. Well done for getting what you needed!

Did you go to any of Sparsholt's offer holder days?

Why thank you!

I only went to the Autumn open day last year because I couldn't make it to any of the more recent ones.

I went to one of the open days in March, we had a example lecture and a tour of the accommodation at Burma Road. It was all really good. Looking forward to starting!

Oh that's interesting. I would have liked to do the example lecture to get more of an idea of the course. I did get to see the accommodation though and it seemed great, every other uni I looked at had shared bathrooms.

The ensuite bathrooms definitely played a factor in my choice of uni! Lol

My place has now been confirmed through UCAS!

Had to ring Sparsholt today to query it, apparently there was an error and I was missed off the list!
