Accommodation Nutford House

I got a twin room (female) at Nutford House, and I really want to be close to the campus, so I'm a little hesitant of accepting it.

I would really appreciate any advice, especially with regards to:

1. how nutford house is like (is it very isolated/ cold (literally))
2. should I decline the offer, and find private accommodation?
3. what are my chances of getting into a closer intercollegiate hall, or of getting a successful swap?

Thanks!! any advice is greatly appreciated

if you decline your offer, you wont get allocated again and they're pretty firm on this. can't really comment of your chance of getting into a closer one, but im sure there might be students from other universities, like UCL, LSE, and imperial in particular that might be interested in swapping. And worst come to worse, nutford is in quite a lovely/posh area and a twin room is incredibly cheap.

im a kcl student and might be interested in taking your room though btw - but i wont find out my offer until the 12th. i applied to some of the intercollegiate halls myself.

out of curiousity, what was nutford ranked for you? and are you from the uk or an international student?

I didn't know that imperial students are eligible for nutford house as well! do you know if the swap list is open to them as well though? E.g. any student from UCL, KCL or Imperial can swap?

nutford wasn't in any of my choices... ><

AFAIK, Imperial College students aren't eligible for intercollegiate halls as it's no longer in the UoL.
[edited] Sorry I've said nothing relevant to your question, still waiting an accommodation offer myself.

Hi! I’m looking for someone who wants to swap their catered room at Garden Halls, International or College Hall or a room at SSA (kings residence) with my catered room at Nutford House. I have been offered a large single room plus shared bathroom (shared with 4 people, there are enough loos and showers for everyone). Breakfast and dinner is included every day. The contract is from september 11th and 40 weeks. Nutford House is located on brown street, right by Hyde Park. Please pm me if interested. Here is a link where you can see Nutford House and it’s rooms:

Hi I am an offer holder from LSE for Sep 2023 course. I want to apply for Double Suite plus as I would be accompanied by my small family. Am I eligible to apply? The room page says LSE does not have quota for this room but LSE page says that families can book themselves directly from Hall websites. Any information would be highly appreciated. Thanks
