I have 13 years working as a full-time Veterinary Nursing assistant at a busy mixed practice with lots of equine work and a vet who has an equine surgery qualification. I have an HND in Paramedic Science, 3 Highers, 5 O Grades, Diplomas in Equine Science, Biochemistry, Clinical Science, Pharmacology....to list a few! so I have the required qualifications to study Veterinary Nursing!
I am looking to train and qualify as an RCVS qualified vet nurse but would like to train specifically as an equine veterinary nurse.
Does anyone know of any equine nursing colleges where I can attend as well as continue working- I live near Aberdeen but am prepared to attend college on a part-time basis or distance learning.
I have contacted The Open College of Equine Studies in Bury St Edmunds and am prepared to attend their 4x4 study days each year I do the course but just wondered if there were any Equine nursing courses in Scotland.
I know there are plenty RCVS Vet Nursing Diploma Courses in Scotland but I would then have to complete an add-on Equine nursing Certificate after I had passed the Small animal diploma.
