You can't trace them but you might be able to block them.

Sounds like a creep to me. Perhaps he's been influenced by Hollyoakes.

You should try doing something about it contact BT would be best.

Reply 4

Rather you take them calls than me. Whenever I get withheld numbers, I never pick up.

That seems a bit strange. How often do you get these calls? Is it quite a regular thing? If it continues then you should have something done about it, it is possible to block numbers.

If they have your phone number then it must be someone you know, they must have got your phone number from somewhere so maybe ask around and see if any of your friends have given your number out to anyone? Have you given your own number out recently?

I'm sure there's a way of blocking anonymous calls. If you're still annoyed about this ring your network provider and they should be able to do something.

its not just guys who do it
weird, immature girls to do it ¬_¬

Reply 10

yea, noob immature girls do it aswell. Sad to be honest.

Reply 11

I usually answer the first time and if no one speaks then I hang up and if they keep calling then I just keep cancelling it. Dont keep answering because whoever it is will just keep doing it.

Reply 12

Maybe he likes you and he wants to talk to you, like to ask you out but get's cold feet at the last moment *shrugs*.

Reply 13

everyone does it from time to time just to make jokes or some think alone those lines
but in this case it seems like the person may like you (said before) or they may be scared to talk to you on the phone.

If it's witheld, don't answer. If you do answer, hang up the instant you realise it's a waste of time.

My mate (who is indian) puts on a fresshie accent every time someone pranks him.

you're being pursued by an axe murderer. there was a report of this on the news a few days ago. an escaped convict would ring up his victims several times just listening without speaking. then a few weeks later he'd come to their residence and disembowel them and display their body parts on their mantlepiece.

You really are demented, bunny. OP I would say if you have any real cause for concern over these calls (i.e. if he's behaved strangely to you in the past or if you think he might be obsessed with you) then don't hesitate to contact the police, it's better to be safe than sorry, and it might just take a quick chat with someone to sort something out. Alternatively, as you haven't really given us any background on this guy, you could just dismiss it as immaturity, try blocking the number (can probably get your phone provider to do this for you) or just not picking up when you see a withheld number call your phone.

if its hoax or annoyance calls, if its land line, you can get anonymous call barring for like 2.50 each quarter for BT, not sure about others

if its your cell phone, call up your network and they can trace it but cant give it to you, they will pass it onto the police, orange are crap and will get you to wait till they have done it 3 times before getting back to them, vodafone are great and have a record of every single number called and pass it on further immediately.
