BMI = body mass index?
perhaps you have fat bones :rolleyes: or heavy bones/muscles, the lame BMI doesnt take into account that stuff

20-25 is supposed to be a 'normal' bmi...

Less than 20 is supposed to be underweight...

So according to your body mass index... you aren't underweight...

but considering you've posted in the fitness forum... you may get some people who are built like tanks replying that would be morbidly obese according to bmi... so one of the main problems with this measure is that it doesn't differenciate between muscle and fat... so obviously it isn't a perfect measure but it is gives you an idea...

Well reading through the fitness forum some people mentioned body fat. Well mine is 12.4 and % is 17.3 (or is that the other way round)

I'm 19 and male if that makes a difference.

If you are underweight, then eat more, build a little muscle etc.
BMI 22.6 does not indicate underweight, but BMI is quite a crappy measure that often fails to describe the situation, so if you think you are underweight and have good reasons to believe it:wink:, then train some and try to put on a few kg.
