I heard from quite a few people that there were bars which were heavily used by uwe students which were no go areas for uni students...

The few times that any of my mates got in any kind of trouble/ruckus last year (none of which were their fault I may add), it was always with a UWE person. May or may not be a coincidence, it's not for me to judge. There did, however, seem to be a general consensus that alot of UWE folks seem to have a chip on their shoulder.

Is a "free party" a house party?

it's a rave, free to go to, usually in an old unused building, sometimes in a park

only knob heads make out there is any rivalry. I have had **** from UofB students and i have seen it first hand. Ask any UWE studnet and they will say the Bristol lot started it and vice versa

I may be wrong but i find that UWE tend to take over reflex (its our society club) the hogshead and most of the water front. I think UofB's tend to stay up park street.

Anywho anyone that tries to invoke rivalry is a cock. The two unis are very very different places and attract very different people. Just relax and enjoy Bristol!

We tend to descend on Hogs Head most weeks actually and can honestly say I never noticed if it was UWE dominated or what. I really don't see the issue personally...

As in, Bristol attracts clever people whilst UWE doesn't?

 Aww have you spent the last few days thinking that up all by yourself? If you are too brainless and small minded to see past what uni someone goes to then you are going to be a very sad person. Oh and just to let you know, UWE is one of the best H+SC places to go to. Hence im doing nursing.
Took me all of 2 seconds to come up with it. And for the majority of cases, it's true.

Why, because you say so?
Pretty much.

Bristol is a far more competitive univeristy, and as such to gain entry into Bristol you will need higher far higher grades.

And whats your point? I'm not as good as you? I'm a second class citizen? Are you one of those people who likes to bad mouth all the non red brick universities? Like to walk past people in UWE hoodies shouting things? Mature attitude you have there, i am just thankful not all the intake into Bristol uni are as awful as you.

Typical rah attitude... Even if were true would it matter? Please don't treat us all the same as this big headed (probably) privately educated ******. We're not all like that honest.
Reply 35
I know you aren't thank goodness. I get it in town all the time. "Oh you're not from UWE are you? What too stupid to get to Bristol?" Erm no actually i dont want to be a Dr and i love Bristol so UWE is pretty much the best choice  Rah's need to be lined up and shot.

My initial comment was said it jest and you took the bait.

You then went on to question how people at Bristol are cleverer than those at UWE, to which I had to spoonfeed you an explanation.

Hardly said in jest, we both know this. And i was asking for the reason why you thought you were "better". You my have straight A's at A level but you have the social capacity of a tea pot

Believe what you like. You seem to be taking this seriously. I'm having a laugh.

As a UWE student, are you contractually obliged to make vast assumptions about people based off very little information? This isn't the first time in the thread you have it totally wrong.
Reply 39
What like the assumption on your part that all UWE students are stupid?
