I was talking to the UWE graduate the other day, sorry, shop assistant.
You might as well have inserted '' at the end of that sentence, for all the difference it would've made. (More epithet than epigram, I daresay.)
Conure
A mate of mine went out last week and bumped into some UWE students. Anyway, they started talking and the UWE student said 'are you from the uni', and my mate said 'yeah Bristol uni, and you?' Well, the UWE student replied with 'UWE', and my mate said (clearly joking) 'Oh, that far down the scale are you?'
The UWE student then proceeded to throw a punch at my mate.
I am now entirely sure all UWE students are morons. Yes, all of them.
Yes; it's certainly a shame that there wasn't a University of Bristol student in the vicinity who could (and gladly) have spared him the trouble. Indeed, this perhaps goes some way towards explaining the consensus among a sizeable proportion of U.W.E. students that all UoB undergraduates are arrogant, supercilious ****s. ("Yes, all of them.")
Have you noticed i, nor any other UWE student has insulted a Bristol student in here? Its all you lot. Its sad how you are all so insecure ;no;
Edit; and i'm sure if you pulled your head out of your ass for 2 minutes and made friends with us evil UWE scumbags you might find some people that share your passion.
erm, you do realise I wasn't being entirely serious?
I know various UWE skaters, all of whom are excelent people, I was just commenting on the fact that few of the skaters I know seem to go to Bristol Uni- which did make it (slightly) harder to meet people.
Bless, i didn't neg the skater but he has PM'd and apologised for his post. And yes i do get wound up. But it's nice to know i have some pride for my uni and some fire in my belly. What do you have?

People need to chill out. It doesnt matter if your at UWE or Bristol Uni. Were all students, were all here to get a degree and have a good time aswell.
For example, Tottenham fans absolutely hate Arsenal, because Arsenal are local and more successful. But because Arsenal fans know Arsenal are so much better than Tottenham, they merely have a patronising dislike towards Tottenham, and instead hate Man Utd and Chelsea more.
Hence, UWE tend to have a slight issue with Bristol students, whereas Bristol students aren't massively fussed, and instead prefer to laugh about how Warwick looks like a ****ing Center Parks.
this guy is brilliant and there is a 50% chance i will be at the same uni as him next year. the other 50% is if i pick UCL instead.
And they annoy me because they're just so oblivious to anyone except themselves basically. Plus a lot of them really are tossers when I have to serve them at work as well.
%%%%%%%%%% i have a place for philosophy there and i hate the sort of person you guys have been talking about. i heard there are many posh private *ickheads there. eeek. its one of those things,,,,
i dont want to be put of by rumours and subjective opinions,
But - if its true more so than UCL for example i would rather go there, not Bristol.
Nothing I enjoy more than putting down people who are beneath me.
I might be going to Bristol. Im seriously concerned by you. You might be a nice guy in reality, but it is your attitude that concerns me. I am particularly worried because the stereotype suggests there are many students who think like this at Bristol.
I think I will try to ignore this and not let it put me off! - but if I get there and there is a lot of this about I will be bitterly disappointed.
PS
All your are doing is damaging the reputation of a very good university when you slag off UWE as much as you have, your are not 'putting down those beneath you'. And yes, UWE is not considered as highly as Bristol but isn't knowing that enough for you? Do you have to rub it in peoples faces? There are universities considered more highly than Bristol also.
And please do not try to say that comment was a joke. Being quite funny myself I know what a joke sounds like! - and even if you think it was jokes can be very telling about a persons true thoughts.

I can't imagine it'd be much better at UCL tbh. At the end of the day there are those kind of %%%%%%%%%% at most of the percieved "higher" universities, the trick is to ignore them and find people you get along with, which is just as possible anywhere.
And seriously, Bristols philosophy dept is ace, don't chuck that over some stupid stereotypes.
Its the same in every city where it holds two uni's... they are both as good as each other ... may be better at some things... each will have its strength..... you will always get the rivalry... but its really only friendly..
