sweaty

I find that I always get sweat patches on my clothes, even if I don't feel hot. I always sweat, and although I don't smell because I do wear anti-perspirant deoderants, it looks terrible and is embarassing!

A lot of the dove and sure anti-perspirant deoderants that i've tried don't make any difference. Is there a brand that is quite strong, so i don't sweat as much!?

Thanks.

I'm a girl btw!
do you find that it's mostly around people?

Mitchum deodorant is really good, will stop any sweating.

What sort of clothes are you wearing? If you're wearing stuff that isnt cotton then that will make you sweat more and the patches will be more obvious.

that's strange, because I have this one 100% cotton shirt, and it's the only top I wear where I get sweat patches...

Mitchum is undoubtedly the best one. I suffer from hyperhydrosis (excessive sweating) - you might suffer from this too? Best get to a doctor I think. Electrolysis at regular intervals can alleviate the effects of hyperhydrosis.

Yeah... I looked up hyperhydrosis online. I guess I have some of the symptoms, and some of the pictures of peoples armpits with their clothes look like mine. It's annoying because I find myself wearing clothes that I know sweat marks won't show on, or if they don't touch my armpit.
And sometimes if i'm just wearing a baggy hoody and I'm sweating I get beads of sweat run down my arm from my armpit.
Urgh, it's so annoying.

I'll give mitchum a try, and if not I'll see my doctor about it  Thank you!
There's a non-scented American anti-perspirant roll-on called Certain Dri which is AMAZING at stopping sweating. When I was going through puberty I used to sweat lots at school and deodorant+sweat doesn't exactly make a nice smelling combination.

You put it on at night before you go to bed (after washing your pits) and when you wake up you just apply normal deodorant (or if you have a shower then you wash yourself and only gently wash your pits). It can be quite itchy after you apply Certain Dri but it's enormously effective at stopping sweating.

You can get it off of ebay and while it can be quite expensive it's worth it because a bottle lasts about 3 months:

I would definitely recommend trying it!

^^ Don't bother - you can get a similar product on prescription from your doctor. I've had it before (can't remember the name of it right now though  ) and it seemed OK.
I have hyperhidrosis...nothing you will buy will work and if it does you don't really have it! I went to the doctor and I was given aluminium chloride hexahydrate roll on. It was awful i didnt follow the instructions (I shaved my armpits applied it and ended up with bleeding underarms....very painful....stopped the sweating though lol!!!!). After that I was given Zeazorb powder which is like talc but has stuff in it...that too was uselss. I was put on Irritable Bowle Syndrome tablets which stops the muscles in your armpits contractsing so vigourously...supposedly meant to ease sweating. This did nothing...just gave me the side effects of being stoned! Rather pleasant but not very practical! Then I tried Beta Blockers...meant to calm the nerves e.t.c this too did nothing. Then the hospital said the only treatment left was to have Botox injected in my armpits. However this isn't available on the NHS!

My parents decided to pay as they knew how miserable I was. We went to the London Botox clinic and it cost around £500, but was woth it. It was quite painful but over very quickly!! After a week I didn't even have teeny tiny sweat patches and could wear every colour under the sun...I was very very happy!! It lasted for around 7 months, and next week I'm going to ahve it done in America where it is slightly cheaper! That worked for me but some of the other less intrusive treatments may work for you. Ask your doctor about those.

In the meantime we'll have to endure only black and white tops, not putting hands up in class or reaching up anywhere!lol! Good luck!!

The roll on that you put on at night and wash off in the morning in this country is called 'DriClor'. I got it from Boots and is a reasonable price. I would use it for a week and then I'd be fine for a couple after that. However, it used to keep me awake because of the itching, and the stress of that made me sweat whilst it was on and itch even more. To ease this I made sure that I had a shower or washed everynight beforehand, it is important not to shave as it makes it worse. Shave in the morning when you wash it off. I don't really need to use it now, only really in the summer months. I also use mitcham (powderfresh stick) smells great!

one of my friends went to her doctor because one of her armpits sweated and the other one didn't. he gave her this stuff that you spray on your armpits and it closes up the sweat glands or something so you don't sweat for about three months, then use it again when it wears off. i'm sure a doctor could give you something like that if you asked, even if it's both of your armpits that sweat. good luck!
i think best try various options to find which one is best for you then stick with the one that is best to you.

Wow! That's disgusting, I hope I never meet you in person. Ugh!

LOL. Seriously, just use stronger deodorant that you can apply around all your body. Good luck mate.
