SFE loans for dropouts

Hi

I need help. I have quite the predicament.

My wife has started her first year of uni but due to health issues to do with her pregnancy she had to dropout after finishing her 1st year. Thankfully, she was able to give birth to our beautiful and healthy daughter.

My question is, my wife now would like to start a new course at university, obviously, she still owes SFE the loan she took out in her first year at uni, would she be able to start the new course ? and is there a possibility of agreeing some sort of repayment program for her 1st loan with SFE ?

Please advice ! Much appreciated !

Hi,

As long as this was the first course your wife has started then she'll get full funding to start a new one. As for the previous loan unless there's been an overpayment it will be paid back in the usual way, i.e once she earns over the threshold.
