my parents earn a total of £20,000 a year. does that make me eligible for any kind of bursary?

Is it not the case that if you receive the full student loan, you receive the full government grant of 2700 and also the full uni bursary (in this case Cambridge give £3000)?

I don't think so...lots of people take out the maximum loan but are not eligible for the grant or bursary. Not many people get a full grant or busary- it's done on a sliding scale, ranging from hundreds to thousands of pounds.
