what's going on?

Ok i've been with this guy on and off for about 18 months, and things started off great but now they're pretty bad. We're both at different uni's in our second year and he never makes any time for me anymore. He used to be really protective and rang me/txted me all the time, but since he started his second year its as if he doesnt care what i do anymore. I hate to say it, but being with someone who 'bans' you from going to the pub sounds like a very bad idea. I was with someone who was similar, and it wasn't nice. It may be that he doesn't 'check up' on you now, because he feels that he controls you to the extent that he doesn't need to check up any more. I would really consider whether you are truly happy in this relationship, because possessiveness, mistrust and jealousy are not good things to be present.
