Have I broken my toe?

I was in a rush to get ready for 6th form and stupidly bashed my toe on the side of the wall. I was in agony for a while, my parents said ' it's just badly bruised' and I got a lift to school.

I could barely walk very well into the school; it was still painful; my lovely friend Laura helped me. Anyhoo...I looked at my toe a few times... (at the mo, I'm in the library with my leg up on the table...getting funny looks of course) and it looks very swollen and feels numb. I dunno whether it's broken or just badly bruised...

And I dunno whether to see the doctor or just let it recover on its own?

I feel so daft writing this.

*Looks into crystal ball*

There's no way for us to tell. Chances are it's just bruised but if you're worried, you know the answer already don't you?

ouch & perhaps :p:

even if it is broken, the docs cant do anything as far as i recall. you'll just have to let it heal :p:

Poor you :hugs:
if you are worried, go and get an x-ray?

Yup, thats what I thought too...:p: But even my teachers/nurse (Yeah they just surrounded me earlier on... ) are telling me to go to the hospital and paying me lots of sympathy.... They have rang my parents, but my parents just said ' it's badly bruised' and won't pick me up...great. And my teachers said they would give me a lift... but they're too busy.

I have no lessons til 12.10... How bored am I gonna be. I was gonna get some Biology done, but I can't concentrate as my foot is on the table. Haha. I've tried it but I got even more weird looks. One lad went ' Ooo she's flexible'. So I stopped. Blah...what a greattttt day:frown:

I've broken my toes loads of times and have once been to the hospital about it but they did exactly what samba said, taped them together. Just be careful when walking around and rest it as much as you can when you get home. Hopefully, it will sort itself out in a couple of days.

Do we have any medical students here on TSR?
They sound tad more usefull than me.
Don't be such a drama queen. Just tape your toes up to keep your toe still, take some painkillers and try not to put your weight on the sore toe.

I broke my toe last year when I slipped on my slippers down the stairs and broke my big toe. I did just what I've said here. For a few days I found it impossible to walk but then I found a way where it wasn't so painful. Then again my foot killed for weeks because I had to put all my weight on my heel.
