Tell her it doesn't matter about the time line...an early rejection is inevitably better than waiting till April to find out that you've been rejected.

Erm yea but my siser has been waiting ages so is wondering how likely a rejection is after waiting this long.

I applied last year and the only uni that rejected me was Durham. I applied in October and they rejected me in December, so it took them 2 months. I'd say the fact that your sister has been waiting a long time is definitely a good sign though because they're obviously still considering her

I got my first rejection about a month and a half after sending my application. I don't see how this will help you deduce when your sister will get a response tbh, depends what she's applying for, where, etc. If she has been waiting for ages though then her unis must be considering her, so it *might* be more likely she'll get an offer... :dontknow:

Around a month after.

Reply 7

Around a month after for one, and after interviews for another

Reply 8

Two and a half months for one and if i get any more rejections (which I will) then it will be 5 months.

Reply 9

i had no rejections, but i have mates who two examples,

a) Rejection from Sheffield, in 6days.

b) rejection from Durham in 3months and 12days.

so time signifies little lol.

mine took 2 months, i think the question is more to do with how long after you apply does it take a uni to consider the application. For quick rejections, it may very well be that they "caught hold" of the application very quickly and decided it wasn't right for them On the other hand, it could take a very long time for the uni to first see the application, and thus give a late rejection. Then there's the middle man where they saw the application early, it was borderline, and they rejected late.

in hindsight, this post hardly makes snese but i invested my time to write thjat much so i shan't delete it. :p:

I think they must love the power and control they have! They love making us wait.

3 Months.

I was rejected in 2 weeks. I hope those admissions will die ugly and painful.
