Well I faint nearly every time I see blood, so I wouldn't hope so...
No, seriously, I don't think it has any effect to that extent so no worries if you're concerned about it.

Maybe it's stress ? Stress affects people in many different ways

I hate fainting. Get blurred vision, nausea, can't hear properly, sweat.and everything spins round :frown:

And when i come round - i'm not sure where i am !!. Takes a while to to come to my senses.

(atleast when i do faint - i'm surrounded by nurses !!)

yeh same here, when you see someone faint in the movies its usually for humour but really the experience is terrifying, well at least for me.

hm, im obviously under maximum stress during the intense doom feeling thing but they say that its impossible to faint during a panic attack because blood pressure increases so I really don't understand it, its just overwhelming.

Ive not fainted for about 2 years and a month but back then I fainted twice in a year and twice the year before. I first fainted in primary school at age 11for no reason, I was queing up for dinner and felt sick, vision went blurry and woke up on the floor. I won't telll you my life history but in my life Ive fainted 6 times up to now.

i used to faint for no reason, jst got hot or hungry and blacked out, sounds wierd but i like fainting, only cus then the dizziness has gone, which is the bit i hate!

if its only every couple of years i wouldnt think its anything to worry about, if it gets more regular see a doctor as my auntie had tht problem and ended up fainting whilst driving, but every couple of years really isnt that much of a problem id have thought

I used to faint when I was so emotionally strained I couldnt cope anymore. It got better when I started to relax and opened up to people

Only time i fainted unexplained - was in Church.

Other than that - only around Needles !!

Opened up? As in telling people that you felt dizzy etc?

I faint probably once a month, or once every two months. I used to attribute it to having an infection, but it is now too regular for that. I random doctor in peru told me I have a form of epilepsy that causes faints rather than fits. It has a name but I can't remember it. He said I should see a neurologist about it. I may do that eventually. It doesn't seem to urgent for now. I know when I am going to faint so I tell people or I sit down wherever I am to shorten the fall! lol

I know also if I am to faint. I try to sit down, and warn those around me. I sometimes collapse if I am really tired, but that hasn't happened in a while, apart from once last week when I just fainted on some stairs. Thankfully my friends were around.

I have only told family about this and they are SICK of hearing about my panic and phobia's. Im a guy so can't really tell mates they won't know what im on about. I guess some people just have the personality for panic and depression.

hmm, well im glad you know what it is and you sound like you are coping well, last year I the panic was so bad I didn't think Id be able to hold a career down, well I still don't even though Ive applied to uni to do OT:rolleyes: My mum advised me to do podiatry (treating foot conditions) so that when I faint I won't have far to fall!

Ive noticed everyone on here is female, are there any guys that faint? Do you tell friends?
