Queen Mary Or SOAS For English? Help!

I love both of the courses because they're honestly just so amazing. SOAS for its diversity and the fact that it's in the heart of London and not to mention how it specialises in the Middle East - which is something I love. Queen Mary's course made me fall in love with the idea of doing English at university, however it would take me an hour to get there, whereas SOAS would take me 30 minutes tops. So any advice? Which one is better? And if you're a student at either, what's your experience?

I'm in the same position as you but for international relations! in terms of distance you wouldn't need to go to the uni every day as English is mostly independent,+SOAS isn't really known for its English programme but is a specialist uni and people are really friendly there, think about the actual course and social experience like which could you see yourself being for the next three years

apparently Queen's is more recognised Russell group etc, but then again I'm not 100% sure I want to go there either sorry not much help I think make a pro and con list for both?

Hey! Thanks for replying - I've actually changed to International Relations too! To be honest with you, I chose SOAS for IR over Queen Mary simply because the course is way more nicer. I feel like QM isn't really that great for International Relations whereas SOAS is definitely more diverse and in terms of politics and international studies, better ranked too. I'd definitely recommend that you choose SOAS over Queen Mary aha. But let me know what you do! I'm going to be studying IR + History c:
