My offer last year was conditional so i would have got my pack alot later anyway, but i called them up when i didn't recieve it and it came the next day..
Worth getting in contact just to find out when they're sent.
I got in in November and they just said I'd get the Freshers' Pack "next year". I guess it'll take longer to send it since it would be international, but on what date did people get theirs? I'm trying to figure out when I might get it.

i reckon you won't get them for a while... we didn't get ours until summer, they probably haven't even printed them yet... cos the union gave us info on events for the first month or so in the pack, which i doubt will be organised already?!

Tho of course i could be wrong...

hey might seem really silly but whats the freshers pack? got an offer from aber in nov and havent received anything? thanjks
Dammit. I'm bored out of my skull over here and I want exciting things to look at.

The freshers' pack is a pack of stuff having to do with your arrival at Aber, like applications for meal cards and whatnot. I don't know it in detail since I haven't gotten it yet.

ah now i think thats different, pretty sure i got my accom stuff late march/early april last year?? think its separate

You gwt your aplication form when you accept the offer (at least I did), but they won't tell you where you are till after results day.
Reply 12
Unless you have an unconditional, as I think they get told where they're living earlier.
Yeah, the university told me I'd be getting accommodation stuff by March and it would be processed really soon afterwards.

Really? I rang up the Interpol department and they told me i'de only be able to sort accommodation in the summer. Although if your an international student they'll probably allow you to sort your accommodation early, due to the distance.

Right - accomodation: Everyone fills in the forms at roughly the same time, around march/april ish as far as I remember. The difference is that if you're unconditional it gets processed as soon as you send it back. If you're conditional then it wont be done/confirmed until after results day when the Uni knows you're coming here.

Freshers pack: Nothing that much to do with the uni itself, although it does have forms for their records, medical, library/IS card etc and a manual of sorts for the first few weeks; you'll have a LOT of things to do and see. The majority of the pack is stuff from the union like bus pass forms, sports centre membership, freshers week details, offers, etc etc etc. This doesn't go out until after results and you're confirmed as attending.

Hope this helps!

Nah, they told me direct when I asked that it would likely come sometime in March, but I do live 6,000 miles away, so I could get mine earlier. I'll have to see what happens.

I hope they're big; I love getting mail about Uni. I get very excited. But I'm a loser that way
