More sleep!!!

Very warm showers with herbal shower gels (EG: Eucalyptus, Teatree, Mint) might work too

Drink lots of water, get the 'right' amount of sleep, as too much or too little can add to the problem. Also, try not to spend so much time online, as it strains your eyes and the cells around them.

I asked for advice in Harrods about this and was highly recommeded Yves Saint Laurent- Touche Eclat- really does the trick it's like a foundation for that area and gets rid of them completely- for my anyway and mine are bad.....

That disguises them though, it doesn't really get rid of them...

Geez how much did you pay for Touche Eclat? Blooming expensive stuff! I've heard wonders about it as well, but not stretching to that much. In fact I saw the "Beauty Discount Store" in town had some cheap but was still too much for me. Mind you I should've bought some and sold it on Ebay

If you've had them for a long time (like me) then they're more than likely permanent. The "get more sleep" and "drink lots of water" answers have never worked for me and I think the reason why is that its genetic; both my mother and sister have permanent dark circles too and they get more sleep and drink far more water than I do. It has something to do with having weak capillaries (small blood vessels) underneath the skin around the eye; they have a tendency to leak and give the impression of a dark patch around the eye.

There's a product called Hylexin which can help with serious dark circles, but it's incredibly expensive (£51.50 for 25ml in this case).

I paid £23 pounds- it lasts up to 2 years apparently- I don't really buy/wear makeup but it made such a difference I had to!! You can just go for a tester at a YSL stand....it's freeeeeeeeee!!

I once read somewhere that toothpaste helps. It doesnt.

Having minty-fresh eyes is not very comfortable!

I wish I could get rid of my dark circles, but having glasses hides them nicely
