Hi,
As some of you may know, at Newcastle medical school, there are SSCs in fourth year. These allow us to pick what areas of medicine we would like to do for 6 weeks, doing an audit in the first, presentation in the second and eportfolio in the last.
My question is, I want to do a Neurology placement, and as we can do this outside the university hospitals, I was wondering which places in the UK are the best for neurology? Also, I would be really thankful if anyone had any contacts for a supervisor in this SSC.
Thank you!
Rikki

There's a neurology SSC on the system for all three periods down in Tees and I always thought it sounded really good. They've also started bribing people to come to Tees with a massive bursary. Might be worth looking at... http://ssc.ncl.ac.uk/ssc-booking/view/20152016/5610
(Out of region SSCs can be really really expensive++++ in terms of accommodation, but the uni does pay for 1 return trip)

I know how unpopular Tees base unit was when I was in 3rd/4th/5th year (am a 2013 graduate), but I work down there now and I would definitely recommend it!
I assume the Neurology SSC is in the JCUH?

Queen's Square in London. You'll see all sorts of super interesting things and everybody I know that spent time there said it was awesome.
