I did my Maths A-Level one year early and achieved these results (UMS scores)

C1 88 (A)
C2 81 (A)
C3 92 (A)
C4 92 (A)
M1 93 (A)
M2 92 (A)

However on my results sheet it states that this was only an A grade?
Am I missing something?

Yeah it is, it's your AS Maths score, the 262 is C1 + C2 + M1 which is an A.

So overall it's an A*, it just doesn't say it on that sheet for some reason? Thanks

I don't know. Does it not say your Maths A2 result anywhere? It seems to have ignored the C3, C4 and M2 from any actual qualifications, maybe your school forgot to submit you to an A2 Maths qualification?

Nope that's it, the blanked out results are just other subjects. I guess they must've submitted me as it's been marked/appeared on the results sheet

Hi, my school did exactly the same thing. Basically, if they 'cache' your A2 modules this year, some universities wont accept your A* in Maths as part of your offer. Also, by caching later it means that they can exchange Further Maths modules in with your regular Maths modules to make sure that you get the highest possible grade in both.

That's definitely an A*, you got over 180/200 UMS between C3/C4. Get this checked with an exam officer

It's basically cheating. It's so you've got a guarenteed backup A* in Maths, but incase you need it, you can switch it all around so you get a better grade in FM too at the end of next year. You have an A* in Maths but not officially.

Great, thanks for all the help. I'll probably contact my exams officer as suggested just to be sure
