Very Depressed and Low, what can i do??

I dont want to go into the reasons for this but basically it led to me not sleeping well at all last night so i just been feeling really depressed and ****ty all day.
Not been to bad in the day as i can occupy myself for awhile, but at this time its real hard and i dont want another restless night.
So does anyone have any advice for how i can relax and reduce how bad i feel right now??

Make sure you are calm when you go to bed tonight. Have a bubble bath and some hot chocolate. I find computers make me stressed before bed so I make sure I get off the addictive TSR ages before I plan to sleep. :smile:

Maybe if things are preying on your mind you should write them down in a list before you go to bed, then put it away in a box somewhere and tell yourself all your problems are 'over there' and you aren't going to think about them tonight.

It sounds stupid but you should keep a little corner of your room as a peaceful place, and whenever you're stressed go to this place and try to empty your mind. Sit there for about 15 minutes in silence making sure you're not interuppted. Then whenever you're stressed you'll learn to relax in this place and clear your mind. This really helped me through a tough time a few years ago.

Get out of the house...Go for a walk, anywhere.

Are you near the seaside, hills, woods, countryside ? Go there !
Even in the city there's always somewhere you can go.
Walk about, clear your head of all the bad stuff.

i'm trying to do some work atm, well, its working with huge files that take ****ing ages to load so while i wait i come in here.
but i have a freshly downloaded Jack fix waiting for me when i finish! yay!

ditractions like a good book, good TV show etc can work wonders, bit of escapism!

Fresh air tends to work for me, failing that watching finding nemo always cheers up, failing that i find somone to give me a cuddle!

Thank you for all the advice :p: i took some of your advice and it did work sort of, but i stupidly dragged myself down again by trying to help a couple people with guy problems.
But when your feeling like this and your single, it perhaps wasn't the best idea :redface: also this girl i really like (she knows this) was saying about a guy who asked her out, she said no as far as i know but she happened to mention hes gota really fit bod :rolleyes:
Which ended up with me getting down again this time by comparing myself to this guy and convincing myself i got no chance.
As im not the typical athletic guy who goes clubbing etc lol
