Urinary Tract Infection

Anyone else had one of these? Most *****in painful thing EVER! I had one in November and I've gone and got it back now. I woke up yesterday morning with a pain in my stomach area, a couple of inches below my belly button. As the day progressed it got worse and worse until I actually could not stand it anymore. And if that wasn't bad enough, I was also being sick regularly throughout the day. Which was painful cos my whole body was straining cos there wasn't anything in my stomach to actually throw up. If I rolled over or changed position, I was sick. If I dozed off, I'd be sick right after I woke up.

And as always when I'm really ill, it was a Sunday, so no doctors. Mum called NHS Direct, who took down my information and said they'd get back to us within 2 hours!!! When they did eventually call back, they offered me a doctors appointment at the hospital, in another 2 hours time. When that time finally came around, I was sick both in the car and in the hospital (surprise surprise). The doctor took a urine sample which has been sent off to the lab (lucky guys!) and he gave me some antibacteriant thingies. He also injected my arse to stop me feeling sick (bloody good job I cut my leg slightly lower down than where he said my trousers were far enough down!!!). Anyhow, the injection didn't work and I was still being sick all afternoon in the comfort of my own bed. Was also still in immense pain with my stomach that I couldn't bare it.

6am I woke up yesterday morning, and 10pm I fell asleep in the evening. That's 16 hours I spent in agonising pain. And I couldn't take painkillers cos I couldn't stomach them.

After having a night of broken sleep, I am feeling a bit better. I've finally stopped being sick and got rid of that awful sicky feeling. My stomach is nowhere near as painful as it was yesterday, provided I don't move much.

Just thought I'd share my story with you guys. Lol.
