Doctors give you tablets for a reason, not just for the sake of it. If you've been told to take them you should. Whoever gave them to you probably knows more about malaria than you do.

Well the nurse said it was not very necessary to take them. but my whole family been taking them. i live alone you see.

Where in India are you going? I didn't take them when I was there either - the areas I went to and the time of year it was, meant that it wasn't necessary.

Seriously, I have malaria right now and it is truly horrible. I went to Peru, to a part where there was a slight chance of malaria so my doctor said it wasn't necessary to take pills because the risk is so small, but I wish I had taken them anyway. It is a horrible thing to have so it is so much better to take the pills if there is a small risk. Better to be safe than sorry. I certainly am sorry....
