If Anyone Goes There Was It Really Compitivie? Do You Need Top Grades?whtas It Like Doing Medicine There? Cos I Dont No If I Should Apply If Its Oversubscribed! Is It A Good Med School?any Advice Would Be Gr8. Btw Any1 Know Where Barts And The London Is And What It Is At All?

Getting into UCL I would say is just as competetive as it is to get into any other medical school in this country as all medical schools (except for one or two) require you to sit some form of an admissions test the results of which they will use alongside your qualifications and all round application to select for interviews (which are hard to get at any medical school) and you need to get past that to get an offer.

After many years on IRC, I've noticed it tends to people who have arabic as their first language who use a Capital Letter At The Start Of Every Word

Every med school is competitive, though UCL isn't bad compared to some. Round about 2,000-2,500 applicants, 330 spaces, 600 offers. They generally give out AAB offers, though a few BBB ones too.

I think it's a good med school. It's attached to some fantastic teaching hospitals. They do a compulsory intercalated BSc and there's a rough study/clinical split. You do two years of preclinical science with a few bits of clinical skills a half-day a week at a teaching hospital, then your intercalated year, then three years of straight clinicals. The teaching style is system-based and lectures.

Bart's and The London is the med school attached to Queen Mary's, so you should look at that forum. It's a bit different - more of an emphasis on PBL.
I reaaaaaaally want to go to UCL for medicine. I did my maths and science gcse last year and got an A and A* respectively. Im now waiting for my other gcse grades to come out...i have taken A level: Biology,Chemistry,Maths,Economics,Greek and German As...do i have a chance??
Single science???

You have a chance if you get good grades/predicted grades, can reflect well on all the work experience and voluntary work that you have done, get a decent BMAT score, and interview well. Can you do all of that?
i did single science last year and double this year(edexcels new course-science360)

i did one week work experience last year and im doing another week this year.

- Med schools say double science is ok, but really, they prefer students that have done triple science as it shows they can cope doing more complicated work at a faster pace (:

I highly doubt that double/single science at GCSE will be the basis of any decision....

OP, tis a great medical school.

Maybe not, but doing triple will look better (:
Does the pope **** on bears? You don't seem very articulate so probably even harder.

They look for future doctors. worrying about triple or double science GCSE is akin to worrying about whether you were breast fed whilst standing on a mine...

Not really, considering most/all (?) schools don't give you a choice regarding whether you do double/triple science.
