Text Or Phone

Is it better to ask a girl out by text or phone? Bear in mind I only met her on sat and so dont know her that well. A phone call could be quite awkward and disjointed. Mind you the texting could seem a bit cowardly...

Text to ask her if she wants to meet up for coffee/lunch, then ask properly in person.

just call her - act casual :smile:

- just introduce yourself as the guy who saw her at that party on saturday -- chances are she will also be awkward on the phone too coz she hasn't spoken to you on the phone either-- so its all good :wink:

I would call her spend as long as you can on the phone with her then after for example an hour text her and just ask her out like that

Definitely don't call her, that's far too full-on. Just send her a friendly text asking her if she fancies meeting up for a coffee/drink.

Personally I'd prefer a phonecall. It's more personal. it doesn't have to be much, just a quick 'fancy doing this?'. And bunthulhu, what's this asking properly business? Phoning and asking to meet up, in my books, is as much asking that needs to be done.

I'd prefer a call, but i think it will seem obvious if you are uncomfortable about doing this, so just do what you feel most comfortable with. The most important thing is what you are going to say/text, and that will be the same whether you call or text, so I'm sure either way would be fine. Good luck :smile:

Because it depends what definition of going out you're using. Some people take it as it's face value - going out, for a drink or whatever, but others take it to mean starting to date. :smile:
