They always had a vote to decide which video they played at the end of CDK. This time it was a vote to decide which of three acts performed live, with 'PJ' and 'Duncan' being one of them. They won with 93% of the vote, and I just sat their in disbelief at how stupid the other 7% were.
Ooooh! right I see!

lol, were you a bit of a Peeeeejay and Duncan fan? I'm sensing you were (you can whisper if you're embarrassed lol )

Hahaha, bless you!

Did you watch Byker Grove when they were in it? I did and I cried when PJ was blinded. That scene has effected so many people lol - I tried to organise a paintballing trip in 6th form, and people who had previously denied being any sort of fan of Ant and Dec replied "No way! didn't you see what happened to poor PJ?!" lol

What about Dreamstone and Trap door (cos theres something down there) and KissyFur and, and, and I could go on and on. Jeesh those were the days, when you could understand what bands were singing and life was simple and 50p went along way.

Noddy and Gary were the gay guys weren't they?

Yeah - I remember her getting electrocuted, it was in her flat or something? I remember the cute guy she was going out with being really destraught.

I found an old primary school book of mine a while back - and in it I'd predicted what life would be like in 2000. Typical stuff really, robots doing everything for you, being able to go to mars for a holiday - but really, it seemed SUCH a long way away didn't it? all that seemed possible!

Man, this thread's old. But it's always great to remember the good old times.
Who remembers those little things which you throw on the ground to make a bang?

Where can I find Penny sweets? When Kinder eggs were only about 20p maximum.
Ah, our nice old newsagent still sells penny sweets which cost a penny, but oddly enough, the cola bottles are 2p and mily bottles are 1p. WE used to have a newsagent which weighed really nice sweets to sell. Ahhh, magazines used to be so cheap too.

The garage at the end of my road sells only fruit salads and black jacks.
2p for the 1p one and 4p for the 2p ones. (if that makes sense)

Those were the prices about 3 years ago. At least the 10p chew bars are still 10p.
Down the road from my primary school there is a shop with all the best sweets but it's about 3p for one neon stick (filled with sherbet you know the kind)

In Weston there is still a shop that sells sweets from jars weighed out, although it is a seaside town.

Strange. I was born in '87 and yet I still remember these things.
I was born in '85 and I remember them, so it's not so strange that you remember it, as you were probably brought up on those as well.
