This may be a stupid q, but what are you supposed to put for the bank details section, since I am led to believe you don't open your account until late August, after results.. so what do you put in the form? Current bank details?

That will do, yes. If you already have an account with the bank that you intend to open a student account with, then all the better.

    in short yes.

although, my advice is to decide who your going to have your student bank account with now...then open a normal bank account with that bank. put that accounts details on the form. then come august its just a simple 10 min meeting in the bank to change the account to a student one.

remember, its a lot easier to get hold of your bank come the end of august than it is to get hold of the student loans company. your bank branch probably has mayb a thousand custemers...and its very unlikely a large majority of them will want a consultaion at the same time as you. the SLC has 400000000000000000 (exaduration) custumers, of which a large percenttage (everyone not going to their first choice uni/plus lots of unoranised people) will be trying to get hold of them.

Thanks. Thats fine then, I'm with Lloyds TSB already and I think I want to go with them for my student account too. That's simple enough then.
