Don't want to attend an interview or go to that uni

Im applying for physics F300. Got offers from Kings, QM, Bath, and Southampton. Got an interview with UCL today. When choosing my firm and insurance, it'll either be Firm:Kings Insurance:QM OR Firm:u:CL Insurance:QM.

Thing is I also applied to Royal Holloway, and at the time I only picked that uni because I had non others left that I would like to go to. So its the uni that I picked to fill that extra space.

I got an interview with Royal Holloway 2moro (14th Feb). And I really don't want to go to, since it wont be either my insurance or firm. I don't really want to attend the interview nor go to the university. So how can I cancel my application for Royal Holloway? Through UCAS? (if so how) or Through Royal Hollway itself?

Thanks for help

To be honest dude, go to the interview - you may really like it, and if you don't go not only will you be missing out on it, you'll be reducing places at university, which IMO isn't the wisest move.

You can always go, get the offer, have a look round (it's quite nice) but then just don't put them down for firm/insurance.

Plus it'd be good interview experience.

Though against UCL/Kings... RH I don't think is in the same sort of league. I think :s-smilie:

Anywho Good luck

Just email them and inform them of your non-attendance and make up some dire reason. RH is good for Physics (having read a bit about their Physics dept), so that is nonsense. In fact, funnily enough, I think the Guardian puts QM at 1st and RHUL at 2nd. A bit of a contradiction on the 2 possible firms you mention.

yeh if you dont want to go, just ring up and say that you don't want to go you havent got to make up an excuse, you won't be the first to do it, they'll understand if you just say you've offers from other unis that are more likely to be ure firm and insurance. the worst they can do is reject you which doesn't matter anyway.
what about ucas, do I have to tell them anything?

only if you want to withdraw from RH, its more straightforward to not go to the interview and get rejected. unless you don't want to see Unsuccessful on Track, you could ring ucas and withdraw but that's more hassle than its worth
If you don't want to go to the interview just don't :p:

Though it would definitely be a better option to inform them first.
Either phone RHUL and tell them you won't be attending the interview or withdraw the choice through UCAS, but the first one would be easier.

I suggest you go to your interview and have laugh there! Just give stupid answers to all questions you are asked. It could be funny.

I was in the same position with UCL so I just clicked withdraw on track, took about 5 seconds....
Yeah didn't go at the end, sent an email with an excuse, no reply so that musta mean they're prolly considering rejecting me.

I did the same thing with UCL, but just emailed them saying I already had offers from my firm and insurance and a few days later, track said 'withdrawn'.
