Hey, yesterday I achieved B in sociology, C in politics and D in history in my AS results (surprised I even achieved that). I'm hoping I get predicted ABC as I got an A in one of my sociology papers (so proves to my teacher I can achieve A's) and a high C in politics so I believe a B would be quite achievable and in history I plan on retaking the paper I got a D in (the other I got a low C) so I don't see why they shouldn't predict me at least a C (I may even be able to push for a B prediction). So with hopefully a ABC/ABB prediction I have been looking at universities ranging from ABB to BCC for my shortlisted courses which are business economics, sociology and politics or criminology . Universities such as Liverpool (for business economics ABB), Birmingham (for S&P ABB), Newcastle (for S&P BBB), Leicester (for Criminology ABB) are included among places I'm considering. My question is, is there any point in applying to Russell groups and other prestigious universities such as the above even if I convince my teachers to predict me ABB. Will the admission officers be too focused on my AS grades and not treat me the same as they would others that have been predicted ABB/ABC? Sorry this is quite long, any advice is appreciated 😃
