Glasgow is pretty good (its outside UCAS) but if youre really ambitious youll probably want to think about London colleges. I think Leeds is quite highly rated too.
Yeah I did - i looked at The University of the Arts to do sculpture and drawing but I decided against due to costs but also against the fact that the campus is very spread apart- due to it being London of course!! It was orginally my number one choice and I did have my heart set on it for a couple of years but sadly me and London will never be!!Thanks for the advice anyho!
A friend of mine is going to falmouth
from what ive heard its has a very good reputation
hey, thanks for all the advice-im visting Notts Trent tomorrow with college to see what the place is like.....Im suppose it will just be a case of waiting till I apply and see what offers I get!! I hope I get them all else I will be in a real piddle about what to do.
glasgow school of art all the way!!!!!!!!!!!!!
fantastic school, and also a brilliant city with tonnes of art and culture going on... and not quite so scary as london! excellent reputation, beautiful building. plenty of students too... glasgow uni has 2 unions, then theres strathclyde and the school of art all with their own scenes so you can pick and chose.
also - think about applying for a london college, cos aparantly theyre exciting places to work and people do some really interesting pieces. all very good at stimulating ideas.
not loughborough though... is a dive. horrid place. unless you just do a foundation and then move straight off soemwhere else, a definate no!
Thats were i am going
it is NOT dull.
its great, the other are totally not worthwhile - except for edinburgh - thats good.
if u get a degree in art it HAS to be from a good place, they need to specialise. the Unis are just just not worth it, trust me, you'll be bottom for job prospects
falmuth or edinburgh wihout a doubt
pm me if u need anymore info about falmouth
I am going to! for 3 years.
It has a beach, a pub and a supermarket. its FINE.
art college is open till 10, then i go to the pub, then home to sleep (because i LOVE sleeping)
weekends, beach then pub then sleep.
how is that not just perfect?!
there are palm trees, everything is cheap, the people are lovely and i can eat cornish pasties.
and besides - my student accomodation has a double bed, ensuite, free broadband and satellite TV. Its worth it just for that.
go to falmouth and you will fall in love with the place
there might not be much to do but its a great little community with DOUBLE beds for halls.
Its the best place ever, i plan to never ever EVER leave. ever.
Edinburgh is actually quite warm! It is very amusing, Edinburgh Uni actually put in a table in the prospectus to show this as many southerners must be put off. It is much dryer than Glasgow as it is east coast. Very windy though. And you have to put up with people horribly messing up its spelling, which can be annoying.
