Upset

Hi evrybody. I'm posting here cause I really don't know what to do. I feel really upset about everything. I am 19 and I feel my life has all gone wrong :frown: :frown: ..... I began law studies this year and droped out soon after. So I'm on a gap year now, not doing much. My "friends" are not friends. They keep on saying comments which arn't nice ' do you ever go out?' ' besides us you don't see anyone' .... you do nothing. Others say I never call so go to parties without me now. So now I'm not seeing my 'friends' any more and feel I don't have any. Tomorrow is St Valentines and I don't have a boyfriend and don't really even fancie anyone. I live in France and it's verry uncommun totake a gap year. So next year i'll be 1 or2 years older then evbdy. I don't even no what to do studywise cause uni is rubish in france, and I dont wana drop out again.
I wish I were Peter Pan and still could play in the sandpit whithout having gammy horrible ppl round...
I can't even travel cause I'm scared of catching the plane.
I feel traped and without family or friends

hi,

those 'friends' that you are on about don't sound like the type of people that you should be around at all, i'm sure you can do better than them. have you thought about maybe getting a job (maybe just for a few months)? You'll not only make a lot of friends by doing this but get some money in, which will give you more options for what you want to do for the rest of the year.

Is there anything other than law that you want to go into for a career? what about studying in the UK if you don't like French Universities? You can get the boat over or the train or even drive  If you think that you might want to study in the UK then I'd contact UCAS (www.ucas.ac.uk).

From the sounds of it you have more options than you think, you've just got to decide what you want to do

The answer is to TRAVEL. You might feel that because you hang around with these people, that they "have" to be your friends, but that's not true at all. Real friendship has a special bond, you WILL find true friends I assure you, if it were that easy to make good friends, it wouldn't mean as much.

no problem, hope everything works out for you

ahhh :hugs:
that's terrible of your 'friends' to be such a pain.

i think if you gave the UK a try you will be able to make a fresh start, and make some new friends. As for feeling homesick i'm sure York has good rail links so travelling back by train shouldn't be too tricky....

... and your English seems great

All the best
