# Confuses about AS results, (raw marks or UMS)Watch

Announcements
#1
I am a little confused about my AS level results are they measured in UMS or raw marks, as all my marks are under a column that says Mark and then their is another column that says points e.g under Geography I got 141 marks but 120 points, so I don't know what this means.

Also when I look at the AQA grade boundaries are they measured in UMS or marks, as for Geogrpahy it says its 66/120 for an A but under mark it says I got 102.

Sorry if you don't understand i'm just a bit confused lol

ignore the points part, and look at the mark equiv. Mark Equiv is the ums you have got. You need to use an online converter to get raw marks, as they don't tell you what these are on the results sheet

Thankyou! What does the points bit mean then?

Also how are we meant to compare our grades to the mark schemes, as AQA uses scaled mark unit grade boundaries, or do we not?

I actually don't know. An A = 135 and a B = 120
that's according to my results sheet anyway.
My school gave me a leaflet that told me to ignore that column, so sorry I can't help you with that part.

Here use this:

put in a random raw mark, and use the chart to find what your UMS equates to in marks. Hope this helps
