Mr Nonsense, why did you decide not to go to W in the end?

i was very settled at my old/current school and so was involved in lots of extra-curricular activities, societies, school journalism, sport, music, etc. and these were things i decided that i didn't want to give up. I was established - i.e. knew all the pupils (had been there for 11 years), all the teachers and everyone knew me and I had a good reputation there so wouldn't have to go about proving myself or anything like that. I live 5 mins away from my school as opposed to 45mins - 1hr on tube to Westminster. I decided i didn't want to spend my saturdays at school. I can do just as well at my current school and it has also given me opportunities that I wouldn't have had at Westminster. e.g. applying for a summer course where the head of deapartment can only recommend one person from each school, so wouldn't have got the recommendation at Westminster.

It is a decision I am actually really pleased about, looking at it now. Two people applied from my school and we both got in - he went and I stayed. He does seem to be quite unsure and doubting whether he made the right move and I am 100% confident that i made a good decision.

But if you want to go, you will have a great time.

Tbh, I applied at the last minute. I went on the open day which was about 3 days before deadline for applications. Decided I would apply, got an interview and then offer. It was only then that i began to seriously consider whether i would want to go and that week to make the decision went very quickly as it was quite a tricky one to make. It kinda just snowballed from when I applied and accelerated off.

good luck anyway!
