Time gap between AS and A2

Hi, recently got my A2 results and didn't get into my firm or insurance, although I have secured myself a place at Reading university through clearing.
I got A in Computing, B in maths and E in biology. The E has stained the grades basically :frown:

So I'm not sure whether to take the offer at Reading (it's the course I want to do and I like the uni!) or maybe take a gap year and do another A level? I'd like better than an ABE for my future even after uni.

In year 10/11 I did an AS level in AQA IT, I got a C but was close to a B. I know the A2 course consists of mostly coursework (which I'm good at) and one exam.
Would it be possible for me to pick up the AS results and finish off the A level? Or would I have to do the AS level again? Thanks!

Also, what is everyone's opinins of OCR biology this year, should I get it remarked? Can't get much worse than an E!
