Ocr mei a level maths applied choices

Hi all - I've just finished year 12 going on to year 13, I achieved an A grade in my AS level in maths with A's in C1 & C2 but a very low B in S1 (i was 3 UMS points into a B). Overall I got 249/300 UMS, so not a very strong A. I will be taking maths on to A2 and am trying to decide what to choose as my applied module. M1 is not an option for me as I am terrible with that sort of stuff (I had a taster session and have looked through the papers).

So it is deciding between taking S2 or D1. My questions are:

1. Do you think it is a good idea to retake S1 in hope to achieve a higher grade and overall collect more UMS to help achieve an A grade overall? Or is it not worth the extra pressure

2. Is D1 'easier' than S2?

3. I have heard people say they found S2 to be easier than S1, is this true?

4. Is it worth taking S2 over D1 if I'm retaking S1?

Ps. I probably did the least revision for stats, I did gcse stats and got an A* however at AS I moved school and my stats lessons were very frustrating as my teacher was adamant on independent learning.
