Yeah, exactly. Metro's in Wales is like Fez... ish. A bit grotty inside... and it stinks with the smoking ban. Of Bo and spilt drinks. Woo! :p:
With the smoking ban coming into force this year, I think I'll be going out a LOT more :smile:

I used to always go to the non smoking pub (BoBs) any way, but the night would end early and I quite like an hour of manic dancing before sleeps. I quite like the Walkabout (although I've only been twice in my entire three years), a bit of cheese is always good :wink:

BoB rules! Best of the Wethspoons' by far. Walkabout was awesome on a thursday last year, but no-one seems to go there anymore... it kind of died which is a shame :frown:

I reassert my belief that Q is the best club in Reading.

If only it wasn't so ****ing expensive. £3.50 an aviation is a joke. A Jug isn't much better value either, to be honest.

That is true, though they do have some decent offers aswell, like BOGOF on stella and Carlsberg.

AVOID Walkabout as it is shockingly bad. Also we try and avoid town on Fri/Sat as that's when the chavs come out. Q Bar is esp. bad for it's normal people to chav ratio. Also, there are lots of old men trying to grope you as you go past. Nasty :smile:

No way, Q bar on a monday is a must!

Monday: Pavlov's Dog > Q Bar
Tuesday: Fez
Wednesday: Union
Thursday: Risa or Ponana
Friday: Risa or houseparties
Saturday: Union
Sunday: day of recovery

p.s. i cant stand Revs! Thats the true chav club. Q bar is in no way Chavvy at all.

Revs is absolutely crap. The dancefloor is a joke, the queues are ridiculous for a drink and the bouncers are *****.

revs aint that bad. im goin 2 stick by my hatrid for Q bar due to the constent crap music. meh i havnt sumfin against that club it can do no rite.

The union is divided into 3 rooms. 3sixty plays cheese on a wednesday and dance stuff of saturdays, Mojos plays rock style stuff and Cafe Modials plays RnB and Hip Hop. Entry is £3 with NUS in advance, £4 if youre at Reading uni and you pay on the day and £5 for guests. Drinks vary but most people tend to just get pints of snakebite which are £1.50 before 10pm, £1.80 after.

Thats one of the few places ive not been to, so i wouldnt know how good it is im afraid
what are these clubs like, i they mixed racially or seperate (its not a problem im just curious i dont know anything about the environment)

I think that the clubs are well mixed racially. Like i said earlier, i think Revolution (Rev's) is abit chavvy - i just dont like it in general, but other places are fine. Im not too great a fan of Bar Risa (even though i used to work there) purely because its too popular for its own good and it takes ages to get a drink at the bar. Other than that its a good club.
