Since February 2014 I have studied for and sat 10 IGCSEs and four AS levels, all from home.
Firstly, there is a wealth of resources out there, and there is absolutely no reason why you can't self study. Secondly, if you work hard then there is no reason you couldn't do that in one year, but I guess that depends on what else you are doing. Also, I did have tutors to make sure I was on the right track, and that was invaluable.
Overall, it's tough sometimes being on your own, but if you like what you study it's all good.

I got 8A* in the January IGCSE series, waiting for two more results this Thursday, and got four As at AS.
