yep, and the ruins of the cathedral are still standing; the new cathedral is built right by it. How many other cities can say they have two cathedrals?

The ruins of the old cathedral are actually really lovely, and they put on some fab events there.

Liverpool has two cathedrals, so that is at least one.

Anyway, yes the cathedral is lovely. May not sum up a buzzing student city though. Coventry is pretty much an average city. Birmingham isn't too far, only takes 20-30 minutes depending on whether you are on the Virgin service or the Central trains one that stops at lots of places. My train fare was £2.50 earlier this week which is very reasonable.

I am also rather excited about the IKEA that Coventry will gain.

How long from London to Coventry on the train? And which London Terminal do I need, Marylebone? Euston? St. Pancras?

Euston. Anything between 1 hour 10 and 1 hour 30, depending on time of day.

Cheers, just checked on nationalrail.co.uk and it seems that from Euston it takes 1 hr 30 just to get to Northampton! How much further in time from there?

I hope some trains do not stop at every station beyond Harrow & Wealdstone...

on a virgin train from Northampton it takes like 20 min but i have traveled to London on that line i it should take more than 1hr 30 min the train that goes to Northampton is a slower train and you need to transfer at the end of it.

Great, just had a look on their site and tried to book.

But 1 adult for 1 night in their standard rooms = £80 (even without breakfast). Is there a cheaper hotel nearby?

you don't need to change at Northampton, it's a direct train to Euston.

Hi!
The campus is situated right in the middle of the city, so the shopping centres and clubs are all within a short walking distance! Perfect if you need to stumble home...:colondollar:
Courses are good but it takes long to receive a reply. There are many international students, I have friends there, good support but the organisation is bad. They keep loosing my application and when you call they don't help. I met one of their officers in a fair, he said will help and when I email about my application there is no reply.
