Any film that has an old woman being drop-kicked in the face is alright by me.

Brilliant.

LMAO!

They do like to push the boundaries.

the whole sitting around the table in cloaks thing

'For the greater good'

lol! LOVED the film, didn't think i would, but even the gun fighting scenes were funny. There's just so many random bits that were just brilliant! Like when he goes see's his ex and talks to the wrong person - don't know why but it cracked me up!

Plan to go again soon, don't think i'll get tired of it!

-x-
I've seen it three times and it gets better everytime.
Seen it on Saturday and loved it!
Would probably say it was better than Shaun of the Dead because I laughed out loud a bit more at this one. Both great films but .

I was a bit disappointed with it to be honest. From the advert it looked absolutelty hilarious, and though it did make me laugh a bit, it's definitely not the funniest film I've ever seen. Sorry! I didn't guess the end though, that was wierd!

Damn. I'm jealous. Just the once for me.
It was very good (7.5/10), but i'm more into politically incorrect comedy/controversial material, i.e. Borat and the material in that.

Hot Fuzz was 10-15 minutes too long.

Pegg is growing on me, it was a nice contrast, him being the straight cop and the other characters in the film being either bent cops or totally bent personalities, nice contrast...
I couldn't sit in a cinema and watch such low-level humour. Sorry.

it was severely lacking in the subtlety department....

i enjoyed this film.
I thought it was fantastic, the best fun I've had in the cinema for a while. It isn't quite as well rounded as SOTD -- there are moments of genuine sadness and sweetness in Shaun that this lacked, and though I'm sure I know zombies aren't real Shaun is more believable. That said, I think Hot Fuzz is funnier. The first time I saw it was with a packed audience on a Friday night and I've never heard such great laughs from an audience, it was inaudible during one particular kick
I continue to be a complete fanthing for Edgar/Simon/Nick, and it is nice to see Simon and Nick's cross-media heterosexual love story continue to stride on. I'm so glad Bill Bailey had a role (or roles) in it, however small, and it was such a good move for Timothy Dalton! After Casino Royale his shortcomings as Bond have never been in sharper focus, and now I think he's just about the best human ever.

Does anyone know where I can download hot fuzz? My newsgroup is taking too long :ninja:

P.S. Does anyone think it sounds like the title of a porno :p:
Timothy Dalton was the best thing about the film. Outstanding.

It was funny in parts but I still don't understand why the people in Sheffield found the universal thing funny...when the sirens were playing when the sign came up from around the globe...you know the one...how is that funny...easily pleased. Most of it was predicable though...I knew what they were going to say next the exact words, American would probably even find it funny, basic comedy not to complicated for them...

Quality film. 8/10.

Although a tad too long?
They've admitted it was about ten minutes too long. They wanted to make a two hour film apparently
